First Annual Meet the Authors at Eagles Landing to Take Place in Ellettsville, Indiana
April 24, 2004--Indiana mystery author Kit Ehrman will be one thirty-six authors participating in the first annual Meet the Authors at Eagles Landing (formerly the Ellettsville Elementary School) located on Highway 46, ten minutes west of Bloomington, Indiana. The event will take place this Saturday, April 24th from 1:15 to 4:30 p.m.
Kit Ehrman takes the reader on a fast-paced ride though the horse world, from a fancy show barn, to the backside of the racetrack, to a foaling barn on a vast breeding farm, in her critically-acclaimed mystery/suspense series featuring amateur sleuth Stephen Cline. Titles include At Risk (2002) and Dead Man's Touch (2003).
About AT RISK:
"It's amazing what horses can do for a mystery. Kit Ehrman's debut novel, AT RISK . . . reeks of authenticity, and the hunters and jumpers that are boarded at this no-frills garage have personality to burn. When seven of these horses are stolen in the dead of night, Stephen Cline, the 21-year-old barn manager . . . in the honored tradition of a Dick Francis hero, vows to track down the thieves . . ." ~ Marilyn Stasio of The New York Times
About DEAD MAN'S TOUCH:
"From the labor-intensive work in the oppressive heat of a Maryland summer to the cockroach-infested living quarters of the help, Ehrman creates an authentic and vivid picture of the reality behind the glamour of the races. [and . . . in this chilling sequel from Ehrman . . . with its sensitively drawn characters and enchanting horses with unique personalities, this is sure to be a contender for the winner's circle." ~Publishers Weekly
