Hollywood Screenwriter Fills Roles for Movie Version of His Novel, "Shadows of Eagles" March 6, 2004--Stephen Lodge, author of the novel, "Shadows of Eagles," and one of the writers responsible for the Kenny Rogers' Western, "Rio Diablo;" also part of the writing team that produced the horror story that became "Kingdom of the Spiders," starring William Shatner; plus "The Honkers," with Anne Archer and the late James Coburn; is predicting who will be cast in the starring roles of his World War II/ Western Adventure, "Shadows of Eagles," as soon as the sale of the movie rights are finalized. Says Lodge, "Ford, Eastwood, Costner and Moore are the perfect casting for my story about a band of courageous Texas Rangers pursuing escaped Nazi prisoners-of-war across Texas in 1944." "Shadows of Eagles" a rousing, historical action-packed-adventure based on fact, is about the little known German POW camps established by the United States during World War II. Presently Shadows is only available as a novel, but Lodge has confidence it will be a movie within a year's time |
