ATX Extends Eagles Relationship

Bala Cynwyd, PA - January 18, 2002 - ATX (Nasdaq: COMM), a leading integrated communications provider with approximately 40,000 business customers and 400,000 consumer subscribers, has recently extended its longstanding relationship with the Philadelphia Eagles. The extension is comprised of a two-year agreement between ATX and the Eagles to close out the existing relationship in Veterans Stadium for 2001 and 2002, and then an additional ten-year suite lease agreement featuring a Lower Level Luxury Suite in the new Eagles Stadium.

As part of the agreement, ATX will continue as the local and local long distance phone service provider for the 2001 and 2002 seasons. The Eagles have been an ATX customer since 1991.

"The Eagles are extremely happy to continue our strong relationship with one of Philadelphia's great business success stories. We have been with ATX since its early days and we look forward to continuing this great relationship," stated Len Komoroski, Senior Vice President of Business Operations for the Eagles.

"This ten-year agreement for the new stadium will allow ATX to execute its respected consultative sales and personalized service approach by hosting clients and prospects in this city's premier entertainment complex well into the future," states ATX's President and Chief Operating Officer Thomas Gravina. "Naturally, we are also proud to be associated with the Eagles organization and to be their local and long distance phone service provider for the next two years."

The state-of-the-art Eagles Stadium, scheduled for opening in 2003, will feature improved seating and sight lines, enhanced video and sound entertainment systems, and a large exterior plaza. "We are excited to have the opportunity to bring our customers and prospects to what is certainly a highly awaited stadium. It will be a tremendous asset to the City of Philadelphia, where we've made our home since 1985, and we're thrilled to be a part of it."
